Diabetic eye screening reduces your risk of sight loss from eye disease caused by your diabetes. Regular screening is important. The screening test is specialised to detect this type of disease and this programme is the only service that is able to offer screening in this area. This service does not replace your normal optometrist appointments and these should still be attended.
